Armisen and Brownstein text each other every night before bed. Brownstein says of their friendship, “Sometimes I think it’s the most successful love affair either of us will ever have.” Both claim that it wouldn’t work if they were romantically involved. “It would be colder, because we’ve both treated our romantic relationships in a cold way,” Armisen says. “Carrie and I are more romantic than any other romantic relationship I’ve ever had—that sense of anticipation about seeing the other person, the secret bond. But things don’t become obligatory. I’m not thinking, I’m doing this because you’re my girlfriend; I’m just thinking, I love Carrie.”

“I mean, you had this whole plan for your retirement and your beach house, and now…your future is just a huge pile of crap.”
#you know I absolutely loved this because #every time Leslie takes a big step in her life she’s guided by her coworkers #before Smallest Parks Ann is there to help her realize that she needs to accept her steamrolling ways #before she tells Ben he has to go to Washington Ron tells her that #’when you love someone you support them win lose or draw’ #and now Jerry #Jerry helped her realize that the future can’t always be planned #and that as long as she has her loved one in her life everything will be fine #and it’s just amazing because Leslie does so much for her coworkers in every way possible #and it’s amazing that the show is able to fine tune exactly what leslie needs and have her coworkers give it to her #all while being completely in character #I just think this show is absolutely brilliant. the end.
